MEMBERSHIP TERMS & CONDITIONS

Totally Netball provides its service to you, subject to the following Terms & Conditions (“T&C”).

When a participant registers, as a member, with Totally Netball, either via phone, online, email or post, they are forming a contract subject to these terms and conditions with Totally Netball and are committing to the duration of their membership.

The team captain is responsible for all participants playing in the team and all payments/arrears and communications. By entering a team, the captain agrees to this responsibility. In the instance of a team being formed and the individual accepts captaincy the above will still apply.

Totally Netball reserves the right to refuse entry or exclude any participant, team or organisation from its league/competition without giving a reason.

Registration

Each player is required to register before playing their first game with Totally Netball. A player registers once only and is not required to register at the start of each season. It is the Captain’s responsibility to ensure that all players abide by the rules and are registered with Totally Netball. There is no limit on the number of players you register. Any players that wish to join a team once the season has started needs to be registered also. Participant must be 18 years of age or older.

It is the captains responsibility to ensure that any new players joining their team are registered.
If a player takes the court and is not registered then that team will forfeit that match 15-0.

If a team continually field non-registered players then there will be a further penalisation and potential banning from the league.

By registering with Totally Netball players agree to the Terms & Conditions related to participating within the leagues. Therefore, registering is essential before playing.

General Terms & Conditions

Please ensure that you have read and understood the General Terms & Conditions prior to becoming a member or registering with Totally Netball.

Membership Options

PLEASE NOTE: For now the Silver Membership will not be available. Also, Gold Membership will only entitle you to a maximum of 1 game per league but unlimited leagues. This is due to the restrictions around COVID-19.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this period.

There are 2 different membership options:

  1. SILVER MEMBERSHIP - This option entitles participants to play unlimited matches in the league the player is registered in.

  2. GOLD MEMBERSHIP - This option entitles participants to play unlimited matches in any of Totally Netball's leagues.

Pay to Play

Participants are not required to be a member with Totally Netball to allow them to play. Participants will still need to ensure they are registered before they can play however, will not need to be a member.

Participants are able to choose to pay to play rather than becoming a member.

Pricing/Costs

The three prices points are as follows:

  1. PAY TO PLAY - £6.50 per match

  2. SILVER MEMBERSHIP - £25 per month (rolling automatic card payment)

  3. GOLD MEMBERSHIP - £40 per month (rolling automatic card payment)

A participant that is using the pay to play option will be required to pay, on the night, to the captain of the team. The captain will then collect the money from all the Pay to Play participants, for their team, and hand the wallet back to the coordinator prior to taking the court.

If a team, on the night of their match, is made up of numerous Pay to Play participants, then the team will only pay a maximum of £45 for their match.

Example: If a team is made up of 8 Pay to Play participants then the team will need to divide £45 by 8.

If a team, on the night of their match, is made up of only a few Pay to Play participants, then the Pay to Play participants will only need to pay £6.50 each.

A Pay to Play participant will never pay more than £6.50 per match and a team of numerous Pay to Play participants will never pay more than £45 per match.

Monthly Rolling Automatic Card Payment

Membership will be on a monthly rolling automatic card payment and can be cancelled at any time.

If you pay for your membership on the 1st of the month then this will entitle you to play until the 1st of next month. Therefore if you cancel your membership then you will only be allowed to play for the month leading up to your next payment date.

Should you get injured on the 1st day of the payment and unable to play for the rest of the month then you can cancel your membership but will not be refunded for the rest of the month.

Participants who continue their membership for a 12 month period will be provided with an option of Loyalty Rewards at the end of their 12 months.

Members can upgrade or downgrade their membership at any point.

As long as members do not cancel their membership in the 12 month period then they will still be entitled to an option of Loyalty Rewards at the end of their 12 months. Upgrading or downgrading membership does not affect the Loyalty Rewards.

If you upgrade your membership halfway through a month the balance of the unused month’s membership will be deducted from the first payment of your new membership.

Example: If you take out a membership at £25 per month on the 1st June and then on the 15th June you decide to upgrade to £40 per month membership then your new payment date will be on the 15th of every month; your 1st month will be prorated to £27.60 and from then on to £40 per month on the 15th of the month.

(the above example is done through a calculation based on the amount of days already paid for in that month versus the amount of days left)

Should a member downgrade their membership they will immediately begin their new membership on the new amount. No refunds will be issued when members downgrade.

Regular & Borrowed Players

A member, who is on the £25 per month membership, will be registered with one team in a single league and will be classed as a “regular player” for that team. If they play for other teams in that league, they will be classed as a “borrowed player”.

A member, who is on the £40 per month membership, can be registered with one team per league and will be classed as a “regular player” for the teams they are registered with. If they play for other teams in the leagues (other than the one’s they are registered with) they will be classed as a “borrowed player”.

Bye & No Matches

Some months have few league games scheduled – this is to do with school holidays, festive periods etc.

April generally has 2 or 3 league weeks scheduled

August generally has 0 league weeks scheduled

December generally has 3 league weeks scheduled

In a year of 52 weeks we, on average, schedule 41 weeks’ worth of  league matches for each league.

During the April & August periods we will be offering Turn Up & Play matches.

These will be for anyone and everyone and will be free for members, as part of membership. These will be fun games of versatility and mixing teams up a bit. Pay to Play participants will need to pay for these matches as per the normal Pay to Play terms.

Postponed Matches

Should 4 matches in a 4 month period be postponed due to the court, weather etc. then the member will be refunded 1 month worth of fees. At the point of the refund, the 4 month period will restart.

Example: If a team has 4 matches postponed in the month of January then the members, for that team (if the member is classified as a “regular player” for that team), will be refunded 1 months’ worth of fees.

Example: If a team has one match postponed in January, one match postponed in February, one match postponed in March and one match postponed in April then the members, for that team (if the member is classified as a “regular player” for that team), will be refunded 1 months’ worth of fees.

Members will need to contact Totally Netball directly if they are seeking a refund for postponed matches.

The above does not include forfeited matches.

Participants will need to be communicate to Totally Netball within 2 weeks of the 4th postponed match.
